The Commonwealth Studio centers around the notion that “local” issues have global relevance and impact. This After careful thought, I defined a project thesis, outlined my research and methods, and articulated a design process and project that tests a hypothesis. Waste Opportunity analyzes our contemporary waste stream’s damage to our environment, the misuse of economic resources, and the cause material scarcity. By reforming to a zero-waste system, we can create a circular economy, a cleaner environment and prosperity in a world of finite resources. This research-intensive design that is rooted in the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s challenges and resonates globally.
